Instructions

  • Add the cornstarch, sea salt, ground black pepper, dried parsley, and onion powder to the ground beef and stir to combine. It should absorb all the liquid/fat.
  • Add in beef broth and milk and bring to a boil, still on medium-high heat. Once boiling add in the egg noodles and stir thoroughly until they are covered in the liquid. Reduce heat to a simmer and stir regularly to avoid sticking.

  • Cool slightly before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.

I made this last night! It was very easy to make and the kids ate it right up and even got seconds (which they rarely do)!

The only things I did differently are: I added 1 cup of sour cream instead (my kids like SC and it didn’t change the flavor), 2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce (I noticed a difference in that it tasted more like the Hamburger Helper version I remember), and, since the end result was a little too saucy, I added 2 more tsp of cornstarch to tighten the sauce up a bit. To me, it tasted pretty darn close to the original. I would also say, do NOT use any other milk other than WHOLE Milk! It does make a difference. Thank you!
