Looking for a tasty and natural way to boost your immune system? Try making your own elderberry gummies with gelatin! This recipe is simple to follow and packed with health benefits.
Combine the elderberry syrup at room temperature with the gelatin in a small mixing bowl. Whisk in the hot water (around 105° F) until well combined.
Quickly add the elderberry mixture to molds. The gummies will begin to set at room temperature so it’s important to work quickly.
I like to use a baking sheet under the molds while adding the gummy mixture. This makes transferring them to the refrigerator super easy.
Move the gummies to the fridge for 1-2 hours, or until set.
Notes
You’ll also need something to dust the gummies with to prevent mold. I like to use arrowroot powder, but cornstarch or powdered sugar would also work. When finished, lightly coat or dust the gummies in arrowroot powder (my preference), cornstarch, or powdered sugar.
