Super easy artisan loaf bread recipe with only 4 simple ingredients. It is perfectly rustic with a crispy crust, and delightfully soft inside! This artisan bread recipe makes a great addition to any comforting meal. Or serve alone with a pat of butter. It’s so good!
Simply mix all ingredients together in a large bowl until well incorporated, but be sure not to over mix.
Cover with a tea towel and allow to rest for 8-12 hours at room temperature.
After the artisan loaf has risen for 8-12 hours, preheat the oven to 450° F. Gently fold and shape into a loose ball.
Grease inside of the dutch oven. Add the dough inside of the greased dutch oven or use parchment paper to line the inside. Place the lid on top of the dutch oven and bake in the preheated 450 degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
The dough will be sticky. Dusting your hands lightly with flour will help prevent the dough from sticking.
