One really awesome thing about moving to a new home is that I can play around with decor. And the funny thing about being a blogger, I can share these details of our home and life for the entire world wide web.
In case you missed it, we recently moved to a cattle ranch. This ranch home has a lot of love and work put into the updates and I’m in love with the farmhouse inspiration.
I mean, I’m pretty much obsessed with this kitchen.
Decorating a Farmhouse Mantle
This mantle decor may change over time especially during the holiday season. But it’s one of the first places that I’ve been able to finish since our move.
Most of the pieces that I used on the mantle can be found at Hobby Lobby, Target, Ikea, and Trader Joes.
So, let’s start with the details.
For the center of the mantle, I used this cow painting that we purchased from Hobby Lobby. Eventually, I’d like to restore an old window or mirror and place it here.
But for now, my husband loves this so picture, so it stays.
The flat leaf Eucalyptus garland is also a Hobby Lobby find.
I love the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection from Target. This pitcher made the perfect vase for my dried lavender.
The lavender can be found at most floral shops, but I was able to score some on a recent Trader Joe’s trip.
I’m pretty much obsessed with stacked animals like this Hobby Lobby score. You can find random stacked farm animals throughout our farmhouse.
There’s worse things to be addicted to, right? Wink.
This herbal plant and pot are both from Ikea.
And lastly, I need to give an honorable mention to these two vintage chicken figurines. A sweet gift from one of my Instagram buddies. They add the right element to this space.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour of the farmhouse mantle, my first portion of the decor I’ve completed in this new home.
